Module 1

  • A healthy diet starts with a healthy relationship with food. In this lesson, you will evaluate and audit your food beliefs for healthfulness. You will analyze your thoughts and beliefs surrounding food, and test whether those beliefs are accurate. You will also learn about how your food beliefs affect your health.

    This will help you to be mindful of your food choices and to make decisions that are best for your health. It also helps you to develop a healthy relationship with food.

Module 2

  • Healthy diets can be confusing to sort through - with so much conflicting information, it's hard to know what is actually healthy.

    This module will help you distinguish between what is healthy and what’s just hype. You'll learn about the specific definitions for a healthful diet and the framework for which to compare new information against. You will also get the opportunity to analyze your own diet for healthfulness using the Navigating Nutrition Dietary Analysis Tool!

Module 3

  • Did you know that food labels were created as a tool to help consumers make more informed decisions about their health? The different types of food labels and claims can be confusing, so it's important to understand what they mean.

    In this module, you will learn about the different types of food labels, what is regulated (and unregulated!) food claims are, and how to use them as a tool to make better food choices in the grocery store.

Module 4

  • This module is all about putting the nutrients in your nutrition! You will learn all about the essential nutrients for human health and how to get the most out of your diet.

    Use the Dietary Analysis Tool to look for opportunities to optimize your diet by using the concept of nutrient density.

Module 5

  • As the saying goes, "everything in moderation." This is especially true when it comes to portion sizes. When you eat too much or too little, you can throw your nutrition off balance.

    This module will teach you the CBM Check 5 system for balancing your diet and including all the nutrients you need for a healthful diet. You'll learn how to portion your food in a way that is both healthful and satisfying, so you can enjoy good health for years to come.

Module 6

  • You've learned all about what healthful eating is, now how do you implement it in real life?

    In this module I will teach you my LIMES meal planning method, and you will use the CBM Meal Planner to put together everything you have learned up until this point and create a weekly meal plan and grocery shopping system that fits your personal preferences and dietary needs. With a little bit of preparation, you'll be able to eat healthy, delicious meals every day of the week!

Module 7

  • Eating out is a normal part of a healthful diet, but it can be difficult to make the best choices for your health. This module will teach you how to assess menu items for the option most appropriate for you and your health goals.

    You'll learn about how to make healthy choices when eating out so that you can feel your best while still enjoying your favorite restaurants!

    If you’re looking to pair Navigating Nutrition with a fitness program, I recommend joining CBM Training Club. The pairing of Navigating Nutrition and CBMTC is the perfect bundle for those who don’t need the high-level support of a full time coach!

  • This course is intended to help you improve your relationship with food and learn how to eat for good health. It is a pre-requisite for any of the "Roadmap" courses which includes the Weight Loss Roadmap.

    If you are someone looking to pursue healthy and safe weight loss, it is important you establish a healthy diet FIRST. Completing this course will unlock the option to enroll in any of the Roadmaps, and pursue those more specific goals!
